about me

E's Vintage Rehab grew from a passion of transforming well worn vintage furniture into unique focal points of a home that can withstand another lifetime.

In my previous life as a physical therapist I enjoyed learning how people are “constructed” and “repaired”. I now apply that passion of rehabilitating people as a physical therapist to rehabilitating beautifully made wood furniture.

Sustainability is at the core of E’s Vintage Rehab. When you refinish and re-home vintage furniture not only do you save them from the landfill but you reduce the demand on fast furniture production from big box stores that focus on evolving trends, inexpensive materials, and fast output. Vintage and antique furniture are made with better raw materials, more structurally sound, and come with a history that make each piece inherently unique. I take great care in researching the products that I use in my furniture transformations to keep my shop and your home safe!

She discussed options with me and then proceeded to bring my elderly chair back to life, beautifully re-caned and restored. Definitely the best marketplace buying experience I've had. The piece alone was worth a 5 star rating, but Elissa is also very responsive and kind. You can tell she very much cares about her buyer's experience.

Elissa did a wonderful job on a kitchen table that we inherited from our home's previous owner. We have four kids and the table has stood up to their wear and tear. During the process, Elissa was a great communicator and it was all done in a timely manner. Home projects can be such a drag but this one was fun because Elissa was organized, transparent, and a genuinely kind person.
